Family nights are among my favorite school events to attend, and Greenwood Elementary's at Ft. Lewis, WA was a blast. We had a terrific turnout, especially considering the blue skies and sunshine which could have pulled many folks to the great outdoors instead. 

The PTSO scheduled this as a family writing night. To kick things off, I provided a half hour concert. From there the families were invited to stop by any number of writing stations which were set up in various classrooms.

This was my follow-up visit to Greenwood as I was honored to provide poetry and songwriting workshops and assemblies for the students a few weeks back. What a terrific school!
